1/4 INCH REEL TO REEL TAPES COPIED TO AUDIO CD OR USB DRIVE
Video Doc Productions will transfer your 1/4" reel to reel audio tapes to CD. Audio reel-to-reel tapes were very popular in the 60's and 70's. Audio recording studios used them as well as consumer units to record family holidays or dictation for secretaries. If it is on a round audio tape, Video Doc Productions can transfer it to CD for preservation.
All work is done in-house and never sent out in our Leesburg, FL office.
You get One-On-One service. Never any mass production.
Our Goal is to give you the best recording possible every time! Each reel is recorded on a computer system, volume adjusted, and then each track is separated. We run noise and hiss reduction as needed. A maximum of 78 minutes can be recorded to a CD. If your reels longer than 78 minutes, they will have to be split-up into separate CD discs*.
The name of the reel or subject matter is printed on the face of the CD. Video Doc Productions uses the latest inkjet printable CD’s and CD printing software.
Reels cannot be combined. (Maximum 78 Minutes on each CD). Additional CD copies are available. All of our CD's are high quality professional audio CD’s.
Track Separation, Hiss & Noise reduction is included.
With quarter inch reel-to-reel tapes, we are unable to estimate how much is recorded on each one. There was no standard back in the day when they were created. For example, a small reel could have been recorded on extended slow play to a large reel on high quality speed (fast recording speed). Each tape is done one-by-one, paying particular attention to it’s specific needs. Some tapes need hiss reduction, and some need the speed/pitch correction.
Quite a few tapes need to be spliced back together once the older splices have become dry-rotted. Video Doc Productions does not store any files on site longer than 60 days. We suggest getting additional CD copies made with your order as a back-up. We do not keep copies of any project here in our Leesburg, FL office.
